Demonstration Instructions
As our specialist Start Recruitment Software has many of the functionalities required across the board - Sales Force Automation, Corporate Intranets, Document Management, Paperless Office, Relationship Management - it is this "StartDemo" database you are going to look at.
All initial demonstrations are the user "fred" logging onto the "Start Demo" database (user password "fred"). If after you have reviewed the software positively you would like a longer trial, please contact us and we will set up an exclusive log-in. Additionally the opportunity is there to instigate a Pilot with you own exclusive database; clients undertaking Pilots also have their databases displayed in the drop-down list but only they will be able to log-on to them. Clients who have bought the system have their own exclusive portal to log-on, rather than this public one.

After clicking “Login” two new windows open - "eLink Portal" and "eLink Navigator". If you are using a 56K modem this may take a couple of minutes, during which time the windows may only display partially. Please be patient - once logged on, speeds are faster.
The “eLink Portal” window which opens first you can close as soon as the second, smaller screen - the “eLink Navigator” - appears ("x" in the top right hand corner of the window). This larger blue window is just a holding page and can be ignored.
The "eLink Navigator" is the small Yorky Bar size web-page whose icons open, in different windows, the many different parts of the software. It is the lynch-pin of the program and always on when you are running the software.
You are now Fred, a Consultant managing his recruitment business with Start’s “off-the-shelf” design of Link for recruitment. This comes fully loaded with codes for jobs, skills, geographical criteria etc. but all the screens can be fully customised to different purposes. As a simple overview we suggest you just get a feel for the software by browsing the Company, Contacts and Project records - hovering your mouse over any icon identifies what it does.

END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT: BY INSTALLING, COPYING OR USING THIS PRODUCT YOU INDICATE YOU HAVE READ THIS LICENSE AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS DO NOT PROCEED. A. LICENSE: Start grants you a license to use the eLink product in this package (the "Software"), containing computer programs, written materials, etc. in accordance with the terms of this License. The authors right and all other exploitation rights in the Software shall remain with Start. B. YOU MAY: 1. use the Software and also make a translation and an adaptation of the programs but only if it is necessary for the use of the programs in accordance with its purpose or for the correction of errors; 2. make only one additional copy of the computer programs for back-up purposes provided that this copy is necessary to the use of the programs; 3. observe, study and test the working of the programs if these acts are done in order to determine the ideas and principles at the origin of an element of the programs. C. YOU MAY NOT: 1. reproduce the Software or the written materials accompanying the Software - in a permanent or temporary way; partially or totally - except as permitted by this License; 2. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the foregoing restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law; 3. rent, lease, assign, transfer or communicate to the public the Software; 4. modify the computer programs or merge all or any part of them in another program. D. TERM: This License shall continue for as long as you use the Software. However, it will terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms or conditions. The limitations of warranty and liability set out below shall remain in force even after any termination. E. WARRANTY: Start warrants to you that the Software will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 months following the day you acquired it. F. LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY: Except for the express warranty above, the Product is provided on an " as is " basis, without any other warranties, or conditions, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the results and performance of the Software is assumed by you. Neither Start or its dealers or suppliers shall have any liability to you or any other person or entity for any direct, incidental, special or consequential damages whatsoever, including but not limited to loss of revenue or profit, lost or damaged data or other commercial or economic loss. G. GENERAL: This License is the entire agreement between parties, it supersedes any other agreement or discussion, oral or written and may not be modified except by a written signed agreement. This License shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. If any provision of this License is declared by a Court of competent Jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from the License and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The parties have requested that this agreement and all documents contemplated hereby be drawn up in English.
